As I recently said in an interview, no they didn't teach me that in library school, and I'm glad they didn't. It wasn't their job. It is my job to learn skills that apply to my situation. The theoretical underpinnings of skills are the basis. If we are only going to school to learn skills, we're not professionals, we're paraprofessionals.
