Attack of the Blog People
February 25, 2005 on 5:02 pm | In Uncategorized |I don’t have much to say about this article by the ALA President-Elect about how the “blog people” attacked his view on Google’s digitization of scholarly libraries. I do have to say, though, it’s disappointing to see an elected leader lashing out in this way– frankly, this article resembled a blog entry more than a journal article.
I found it while trolling (in the fishing sense) Librarian in Black for good collaborative community library weblogs. I’m beginning to fear my paper will be about how libraries have NOT harnessed the power of the blog for community building. Anyway, here is her commentary on Gorman’s thoughts.
